This lovely wedding took place at Seabrook on the Washington coast. The couple are from Port Ludlow and wanted a venue for their wedding that would bring their family and friends together for an entire weekend. Fortunately Seabrook fit the bill perfectly and even delivered sunny t-shirt weather in March. The couple rented the beautiful Sunset Magazine Idea Home where they hosted a welcome dinner the night before.
After getting ready and a first look couple and their immediate families walked down to the beach for group photos. Following that I spent some time taking portraits of the couple out on the sand. It was a perfect day at the beach!
The ceremony and reception took place at Seabrook Town Hall, which is a quaint Nantucket-style building at the center of town. It was a standing ceremony which echoed the the casual and close knit style of the entire celebration. Many of the decorations were even made by the couple.
During the cocktail hour I took the couple on a walk around town to get some magic hour portraits. Whenever possible I like to divide the time spent doing couples’s portraits into several small sessions throughout the day for more variety.
I’m looking forward to many more visits to this gem of a town!
If you are planning a Seabrook wedding and need a photographer I would love to hear from you. I live only an hour-and-a-half away. I am also available for destination weddings and travel throughout the US and the world.
