This winter Palm Springs wedding was held at Moorten Botanical Garden with a reception at The Westcott boutique hotel. The couple and many of their guests traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to celebrate and have some fun in the sun.
The day began at The Westcott with guests relaxing in the pool and the wedding party getting ready in the adjoining rooms. The hotel is compact, which is great because it ends up being exclusively rented by members of the wedding.
The ceremony at Moorten Botanical Garden was setup on their grassy lawn area. The rest of the property is a beautiful network of trails winding among cacti, giant agave and other desert plants. They also have a super cool “cactarium” greenhouse. If you are looking for a small to medium sized wedding venue in Palm Springs then Moorten Botanical Garden is worth checking out.
Back at the reception guests enjoyed a cocktail hour beside the pool and dined on some seriously delicious organic seasonal food from Harvest Kitchen. After a bit of dancing the party inevitably ended up in the pool – clothes and all.
If you are planning a wedding at Moorten Botanical Garden or any other venue in the Palm Springs area I would love to hear from you. I am Seattle based but have family in the Coachella Valley and visit often. I and am also available for destination weddings and travel throughout the US and the world.
