The Greenbrier resort is a wedding venue like like none other and a photographer’s dream come true. Famous for it’s lavish Dorothy Draper designed interior, the sprawling hotel and grounds are an endless playground of beautiful backdrops and eclectic rooms. I’m a huge Wes Anderson fan and many rooms in the hotel make me feel like I’m living in one of his movies. By the way, this wedding was featured in Southern Living Magazine!
The bride and groom now live in New York City, but both have ties to West Virginia and neighboring Kentucky, and have fond memories of visiting The Greenbrier as children. Their ceremony was held at the gazebo and they made a stylish exit in a vintage Mercedes-Benz 560 SL belonging to the bride’s father. A relaxing cocktail hour on the rear balcony was followed by dinner in the opulent Cameo ballroom and live music from the Adrian Duke Project.
I am a destination wedding photographer, which means I travel wherever I am needed. For couples it may be a destination or a local wedding. If you are planning a wedding at the Greenbrier or anywhere else want to talk about having me there please feel free to get in touch.
There was also a beautiful rehearsal dinner held at Howard’s Creek Lodge on the Greenbrier Golf Course. Music was provided by the Hollowell Twins and the barbecue buffet was off the charts.
And last but not least some pre-wedding croquet and skeet shooting for anyone who wanted to partake.
